Dear Community Members,

 

As many of you know, we have acquired a beautiful property nestled in the hills of Livermore, California, with a shared vision of creating a Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple and a sacred, welcoming sanctuary for our Kashmiri Pandit community.

 

Since acquiring the property, our community has already begun bringing this vision to life.

 

A team of talented community members has come together with the vision of creating a temple inspired by the original Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple of Kashmir. We are working together to create a place where our traditions, culture, spirituality, and community can come together.

 

We have also started our monthly Bhajan Mandali, where talented Kashmiri singers from our community come together to sing our Kashmiri bhajans and enjoy our traditional Prasad of Tahari! 

 

Our Garden Club has created a vibrant group of volunteers who regularly come together to care for and beautify the grounds. 

 

We are also managing many other aspects of this sprawling property, including security, cleaning, vegetation control, landscaping, general upkeep, and maintenance of the grounds and facilities.

 

All of this is happening because members of our community are generously giving their time, energy, skills, and talent.

 

But even with the tremendous support of our volunteers, maintaining a property of this size and supporting our community activities requires ongoing financial support.

 

We are inviting 101 families to become Giving Circle Supporters.

 

Our initial goal is to have 101 families contribute $101 each month toward the ongoing expenses of the property.

 

This recurring support will help us care for the grounds, maintain the property, support community activities, and continue moving forward with our vision of a Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple and community sanctuary.

In addition to Mata Kheer Bhawani temple, we hope this place will become a home for our Kashmiri Pandit community — a place where we can come together, connect with one another, celebrate our culture and traditions, and stay connected to our roots.
